We had a wonderful time with our parents visiting us yesterday for Learning and Lunch. Today the high school students came to visit us and read to our class. Our class learned how to make a number bond. A number bond is just another way to say a fact family. If 4+5 = 9, then 5 + 4 = 9. Please enjoy our number bond spiders! Practice making number bonds by clicking HERE.
The Jennersville YMCA hosted their annual SPLASH program on April 22 and 23. The children learned basic water safety skills and simple swim strokes. A good time was had by all! After reading an informational text called Soil, we learned that earthworms play an important role in the health of soil. They put air in the soil and loosen it to make it easier for water to find its way to the plants. Elk Ridge celebrates the love of reading by participating in the Scholastic Book Fair. Our wonderful PTO and parent volunteers helped us select and purchase books. Reading what we love makes us smile!
